The material of the winter fishing rod

The winter rod and its handle can be made of different materials.

Rod (Whip)

• Carbon (carbon fiber, graphite);

• Glass fiber (fiberglass);

• Plastic.

Carbon

Advantages - high sensitivity, low weight. Hardness is different. The price of the material is high.

Fiberglass

The weight is greater compared to carbon. Rigidity is high.

Composite

The composition of the material is carbon + fiberglass. The material is average in cost. Medium hardness, high resource strength.

Plastic

Low sensitivity. Hardness is low. Cheap material.

Handle

The handle can be made of 4 materials:

• cork (soft synthetic material);

• neoprene (soft synthetic material);

• foam;

• tree.
