Each element in the structure of the hook has its own function, features and name. The design of the hook consists of 5 main elements:

Beard.
Hook head
The head is the place where the fishing line is attached to the hook.
Coil hook
The coil is a structural element of the hook that connects the eye with the bend.

The sting of the hook
The stinger is the sharp part of the hook. She pierces the fish's lip.
Beard hook
The barb of the hook is an element that is located in the inner part of the hook, near the barb.
