Test feeder rods
Feeder rods are divided into 6 categories, determined by the rod test. The rod test indicates the maximum load weight recommended for use with this model. The weight of the bait in the feeder is taken into account, which is usually 20-30 grams.
Ultra Light feeder (Picker)
Suitable for catching small fish at short distances in stagnant water or with a small current.
Length of pickers
from 2.1 to 3 meters.
Test
from 10 to 40 grams.
Working distances
for a picker with a length of 2.1 meters, the optimal distance is up to 20 meters;
with a three-meter picker, you can fish at a distance of up to 40 meters.
Light feeder
Lite feeder has a length of 3 to 3.6 meters with a test of up to 60 grams. Designed for fishing in stagnant water or on reservoirs with a small current. They differ from the picker in that due to the length, strength and greater weight of the test, they allow you to throw the tackle over a considerable distance and handle larger fish.
Medium feeder
This type of feeder rods has a length of 3.3 m (less often) - 3.6 meters (more often). The test is from 80 to 100 grams. This class of rods is considered semi-universal. They have the optimal length for casting at medium distances, and their test allows you to catch a wide range of fish. They have enough power to withstand strong fish, and at the same time provide sufficient bite sensitivity.
Heavy Feeder
Test: 100-120 grams, length 3.6-3.9 meters. There are also "twin" models on sale. - 3.60/4.20 m. Twin feeders are used as in the standard length of 3.6 meters, and if you install a special additional extension (which comes in the kit), the length will increase to 4.20 meters.
Extra Heavy Feeder
Extra Heavy Feeder has an extremely high test compared to the above categories. Test: 120 grams and above. They can reach 200-300 grams. Length from 4.20 to 5.0 meters. Specially created for use in extreme situations when long casts are required or for hunting large fish.
Swingtip
This is a special tackle, very sensitive and designed for catching small and cautious fish. The tip of the Swingtip rod has a hinged attachment, which allows you to detect the weakest bite of a fish. The special design allows the fisherman to feel the smallest movements of the tackle to react faster to bites.
