The pattern of fly rods
The characteristic of the pattern of the fly rod is related to its reaction to the impact of the load. The bend of the whip, or rather the shape of the bend of the blank, serves as an indicator of this reaction. The fly rod has 4 types of setup.
Fast
A fly rod with a fast action (stiff action) is a tackle in which only the tip of the rod bends. It is used for long casts using heavy tackle.
Medium-Fast
A medium-fast fly rod (upper-parabolic) is characterized by the work of mainly the upper third of its length.
Medium
Fly rods of medium structure (parabolic) are universal in terms of range of possibilities. They bend from the middle to the top, the bending shape resembles a parabola.
Slow
A fly rod with a slow action (soft action) is characterized by the fact that during the swing it works on its entire length and bends from the tip to the very handle under load, practically bending along its entire length.< /p>
